Sara Ibrahim


Sara advises and acts in a broad range of civil and commercial matters with a particular focus on the areas listed below.

Sara was appointed to the C Panel of counsel serving the Commission for Equality and Human Rights with effect from 2 March 2015 for a term of 4 years.

Employment Law

Sara has significant experience of employment law and has appeared in multi week tribunal claims as well as in the Employment Appeal Tribunal unled. She represents both employers and employees in the whole spectrum of employment issues, with an emphasis on discrimination claims. Sara is additional versed in claims for whistleblowing, breach of contract (including wrongful dismissal) and bonus claims.

She often appears in cases where injunctive relief is sought in the High Court typically arising out of alleged breach of restrictive covenants and/or fiduciary duties and misuse of confidential information.

Education Law

Sara acts for a wide variety of clients involving disputes from school through to University. She has been instructed in a full range of panels, tribunals and courts on education matters for schools, academies, students and their families.

Her education law practice is informed by her previous experience as a school governor for a primary school in London, a role she undertook for 6 years.

Professional Negligence

Sara regularly undertakes professional negligence claims including cases pursued against a range of legal professionals. She has a specific interest in work involving underlying litigation in the employment and commercial spheres. Sara is ranked in the Legal 500 for her work in the Professional Negligence field.

Commercial and Insolvency Law

Sara has appeared in a number of commercial and insolvency disputes in the High Court. Her insolvency practice encompasses claims on behalf of trustees in bankruptcy in addition to debtors and individual creditors. She is regularly instructed on fully contested hearings as well as applications including appeals.
